An improvised arrangement that gestures to both mobility and rootlessness.
His gaze evokes the profound toll of prolonged life on the streets, where addiction, exhaustion, and precarity intersect.
Yet, beyond the surface of despair, the image also carries the weight of complexity: the subject is not reducible to his struggles, but embodies the layered realities of displacement, vulnerability, and deep resilience.
The skateboard, a symbol often associated with youth and play, here takes on a paradoxical resonance, functioning as a seat rather than a tool for movement.
It reflects the dislocation of everyday objects in contexts of survival, where meanings shift under the pressure of necessity.
The viewer is confronted not only with the fragility of life at the margins, but also with the ethical imperative to look beyond the stereotype of addiction and acknowledge the full humanity of those marked by it.
